Invitation: the ACAH Reading Group “What is plenatary art history?” will discuss the question re. China in three e-sessions during the summer

The summer reading group “What is planetary art history?” organized by the Association for Chinese Art History (ACAH) will organize several online sessions to address the entanglement of art and its ecological surroundings from the perspective of Chinese art history. In three Zoom meetings over the summer, they will also discuss the issues in relation to the humanities in general and East Asian studies in particular. ACAH membership is not required for joining the reading group, while participants are encouraged, but not required to attend all three meetings.

The first meeting will be held on Thursday 25 July 2024 at 20:30 Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) and will last for 90 minutes. The dates and times for the two subsequent meetings (likely to be in late August and September) will be discussed at the first meeting and they will last 60 minutes.
