Upcoming: CHINAFEST in Frankfurt a. M. – Live Music, Calligraphy and Street Food

The CHINAFEST 2023 will take place this week-end from 8-10 September 2023 at Frankfurt a. M.’s centrally placed Roßmarkt. The annual festival that promotes Sino-German cultural exchanges and intercommunication has invited many local craftsmen and art groups from Taizhou – the partner city of Frankfurt-Hanau – and street food teams from China.

The programm includes 3 nights of live music created by local German bands, too. On Saturday afternoon, ReNetMoCoCA latest member Yang Peiwen curates a street performance of giant calligraphy live performed to fill 1.7m x 7m cotton fabrics, framed by sounds of the Chinese traditional instrument Guqin. The performance is supported by DJI company, who will document it by means of their products.
